Xanadu Mansion was built between 1928 and 1930. It’s former owner was Mr. Irenee Dupont de Numours, important French chemical magnate established in the US.
On the second floor, with a surface of over 70 square meters, there are 5 double rooms and one single room offering guests a unique and warm environment. The basement features a wine cellar stocked with wines from 18 different countries. The ground floor offers a delux restaurant specializing in international cuisine; while on the third floor, at the Bar Mirador Casa Blanca, guests can enjoy a magnificent view.
Xanadu Mansion is the Varadero Golf Club’s Club House. The Golf Course was constructed on the original 9 hole course built in the early 1930’s.
Description of the rooms:
Single Room
Single room, decorated in the style of the ‘30s, equipped with private bath lined in antique marble, antique furniture, comfortable bed, dressing-room, air conditioning, luxury linen, room phone with national and international dialing, cable tv, hot and cold water, safe and mini bar. Guests staying in this room have access to adjoining room 222 through a side balcony overlooking the beach. This room also has balconies and a large terrace at the other end.
Double Room
This double room, as its name indicates, was the master bedroom where Mr. Dupont was installed. Also decorated in the style of the ‘30s, it has an antique marble lined private bath, antique furnishings, two single beds, dressing-room, air conditioning, luxury linen, room phone with national and international dialing, cable tv, hot and cold water, safe and mini bar and a balcony overlooking the beach. It connects to adjoining room 221 through the balcony.
